Trainers, management faculty and field-level donor staff dedicated to building financial systems for the poor in developing and emerging markets represent the target clients of the Microfinance Management Institute (MFMI).
The rapid growth of the microfinance sector globally makes all the more pressing today, the availability of increasing numbers of talented and skilled leaders and staff. Today's practitioners and tomorrow's leaders depend on trainers and academics to demonstrate and transfer cutting-edge knowledge and skills in training, education and management practice as applied to the context of financial inclusion and microfinance.
The MFMI is a global resource center oriented to these local providers of capacity-building services to strengthen and promote their offer of competitive services and products to the microfinance community. Acting in affiliation with CGAP and the Open Society Institute, the MFMI fosters and supports peer networks, skills development, the development and dissemination of market information, and global knowledge sharing.
Recognizing the importance of donor know-how for responsible and relevant support of microfinance actors, the MFMI and CGAP jointly deliver a CGAP Funder Training course and messages on aid effectiveness.

The MFMI has created a global network of over 60 groups committed to improving the industry by improving the management capacity of MFI staff. To see the members of this global network, please visit: Our Community.
The MFMI has created a free, global library of materials for use by trainers and educators, including many case studies funded by the MFMI, found in our Knowledge Resources section.
